Kimball grand piano Restoration Gallery
This 1906 Kimball Grand is a family
heirloom owned by a Landsdowne,Virginia family. The original mahogany
wood was antiqued over the years.
The musical parts of
the piano have been restored by master piano technician Fred Hickman. |

Tear down and label hardware. Flow over remover on lid. Flow over remover on lid. Flow over remover on lid. Semi paste remover on case. Block sand case with 150 grit. Rub lid with wool and lube. Cloth applied to music desk slide Cloth applied to music desk slide Casters-- beofre and after polishing
Tape off and cardboard to protect plate, soundboard, and strings. Tape off and cardboard to protect plate, soundboard, and strings. Inline sander with 500 grit Inline sand with 500 grit Hand sand with 500-600 grit.
